Great Lakes Maritime Academy - I can't speak for the great lakes in particular, but i'm a woman working in the offshore industry in the gulf of mexico. The old kp grads were certainly the worst i have ever sailed with. It’s by far the smallest academy, so you don’t meet many grads in the industry outside of the great lakes but they do exist. Yup, same deck license as every other academy but you have to get your first class great lakes pilotage. The crop that i work with now are great and it's a great mix of kp, mass, maine, and a&m grads. I would recommend applying as an ordinary seaman or os.

I Go To Cal Maritime, (Texas Uses Our Training Ship In The Summer And Sometimes With Us,) And Their Maritime Academy Is Way More Of A Military School Than Ours Or Great.
